Bob’s accepting inking commissions again!

I was informed today of an unexpected delay in my work schedule by a few more weeks…looks like a rare opportunity for my inking commission schedule to be wide upon now while time lasts! (I didn’t expect CAF to post about it;-))

If interested you can contact me  dmralmond@gmail.com  and send me a scan of your art so I can submit a quote.

Two months later….

I’m back!  Having completed two issues of GF1 (GREEN FORCE ONE): TSUNAMI over Geof Isherwood‘s pencils for Heroes of the North, I was expecting new pages for issue three any day now when the scedule got changed and now I have 2-3 weeks open….ah, the unpredictable scheduling life of a freelancer;-)  There’s still no word on when the series will debut online and I’m regrettably not at the liberty to preview any of the art.

So after catching up on some life loose ends and Inkwell Awards matters (and I’m going on walks!), I decided to update the website.  The Store page is updated with two new prints for sale and many items like most of the discounted trades and my last sketchbook copies now marked as SOLD OUT!  For the Credits page I added Heroes of the North and GF1.  For the Gallery I added in the last commission I completed but hadn’t yet posted.

I will be catching up on some commissions for very patient client Damon Owens.  Hopefully I can knock those off and do the couple of pages for client Danny Best. With only 2-3 weeks free I’m reluctant to open up my commission list yet but should I find out that I’m almost done with the old ones and there’s still time left I will conatct my regulars for a heads up that I can take on a limited amount.  Maybe after GF1#3 is done I can publicly announce that the list is open again.

Introducing: We Win Con

I want to help spread the word for my friend Enrica Jang of Red Stylo Media who has formed We Win Con, a non-profit organization set up to help the artists who took a financial hit due to the cancellation of the Boston Con this weekend due to the threat of the Boston Marathon Bomber. Below is their statement:

The details:
We Win Con is helping independent artists and fans who lost money and opportunities from the postponement of the Boston Comic Convention to be able to recoup a little of what they spent.

Artists who are out cash, travel and most importantly SALES this weekend can be featured in an online convention at wewincon.org. We’re also helping raise funds for charity in the process.

To help artists recover some costs so they can get through ’til BCC is back, visit http://wewincon.org/

Our goals:
Bringing fans to the artists since artists couldn’t get to the fans.
Gas Card Drive to reimburse artists that drove to Boston and had to turn back.
charitable giving for the organizations who were set to receive donations from the show.

Artists will get a FREE featured post, complete with links to their own online stores. Those without stores, Red Stylo Media is donating online space in their store to help promote sales. Any interested artist can email info@wewincon.org
