Joe Sinnott DVD Cometh!

This item “Creator Chronicles: Joe Sinnott” is solicited in the most-recent Diamond Previews catalog for November (although I don’t know the actual shipping date) from Amdale Media. I was interviewed a year and a half ago by Robin Dale at Pittsburgh Comicon on behalf of Joe Sinnott but I’m among many, much more-impressive creators with segments. Check out the first link above for more info!

Two Shows in November!

As mentioned in February I will be attending the Rhode Island Comic-Con  for the first time on November 3-4. Well, now I can add and confirm attending the Albany Comic-Con on November 11 after months of keeping the show only on a tentative status (I’m listed on the site but not yet in the promo poster). The Inkwell Awards will be present at both events. Volunteers Alyn Bergstrom will be at RICC and Joe Goulart at both spots. Joe Sinnott will be with us in Albany where we will be debuting the 2nd Joe Sinnott Inking Challenge book for him to sign!

The Herald News spotlights this guy!

I guess September is Bob Almond month at the Herald News based in Fall River, MA.  First I was mentioned in a sentence in an article on the YEAH Program I participated in last winter. From that interview the reporter Deborah Allard decided to interview me since I was the next city away. I was excited because after 20+ years in the business of comic book inking I’d never been interviewed at home before, only via emails, phone calls, or live at conventions. The main article was posted yesterday online, as well as a related article showing some photos she took of me in my room with commission pieces in the works. Some facts are incorrect but that’s par for the course for such interviews where there’s no time to have the subject proofread the draft like in other formats. Deb’s sending me a physical copy of the paper and I appreciate your kindness, courtesy and consideration. (Below, me in my studi inking a recent Scott McDaniel commission–all photos by Deborah Allard).
