Hulk vs. Thing was my 3rd Wyman commission. The client requested that he do a recreation of the image from the cover of FANTASTIC FOUR # 112 by John Buscema & Frank Giacoia. But it wasn’t quite a ‘recreation’ of the cover since the image was only 8.5X11 and there wasn’t cover copy, except the added “–‘NUFF SAID!”. I intended to make the background black to match the actual cover but began to question that option and the client & I ultimately decided against it. Inked with brush and marker the job was completed 12/24/03. Merry Christmas!
