Joe Goulart returns to the Inkwell Gallery for the second time with commissions three and four, again on blank variant sketch covers for the charity for Disabled American veterans.

This time he passed on to me a wraparound X-men cover sketch (my only 2nd X-men team commission yet) and a Punisher cover sketch (also my only 2nd commission with Frank Castle), both by Frankie B. Washington. I haven’t inked Frankie since page one of the archived gallery in 2001 for a Death commission for client and my art rep Bob Shaw. Those pencils were tight, these were loose. I embellished them using all of my usual tools including some dry brush and black and white ink spatter. They were completed on 8/14/14 (X-men) and 8/16/14 (Punisher).
