My 38th Rankin’s commission is one from his “Common Elements” gallery of characters that have a mutual connection, in this case similar hair and powers as well that both went through a dramatic and sinister transformation. Dave Hoover is known for his “Good Girl” art. I never inked him before so this 1st-timer was a lot of fun, especially as I’d never inked the characters before either. I used all my usual tools on this 11X17 job on 2-ply board and finished it on 9/8/2008. Blake Wilkie later colored the image on 11/10/2008.
