I’ve only done a handful of animated-style inking pieces so imagine my anxiety when, circa 1999-2000, I was hired to ink and color over legendary animator Bob Singer! I asked the client to consider the option of me inking the art over vellum so as to save the original pencils but they were set in seeing me work over the original. I used gray watercolor pencils to simulate the various graphite tones in the drawing and a blue watercolor pencil to match the blue shading he rendered for the shadows surrounding the lighting.

Another Singer Flintstones commission for the client in 1999.
