This is only the fourth time I’ve done the FF (all four members) in a commission (seventh if you count some alternate member FFs). It’s client Larry Clay’s 15th addition to my Inkwell Commission Gallery, this time inking the Marvelously retro pencil work of Ron Frenz (a first for me!) who recreated the cover of Marvel Treasury Edition#11’s front cover by Jack Kirby and Joe Sinnott from 1976. I was trying to channel my inner ‘Joltin’ Joe Sinnott’ with this one and was pleased with how it came out. It was inked on 11X17 2-ply Kubert board and inked mostly with brush and Pitt brush marker (possible some Hunt 102 quill) with only a little micron marker work done. This was completed on 10/17/14.

12/15/14: CORRECTION- I have been recently corrected by Erik Larsen and this original cover art source material from Marvel Treasury Edition is attributed to Frank Giacoia as inker, not Sinnott.
