Our next stage was “grim&gritty”. For our unpublished Deathlok sampler that we pitched to Marvel (fall 1998, written by Bruce Canwell) Sal asked me to put my brush away, use solely markers and quill, play up the kinetic sketchiness and go nuts with textures and specialFX.
