Welcome back to the Inkwell Gallery the prolific Michael Rankins with his 39th piece! Speaking of prolific, this is my 15th DooneyGirl, which puts him in the running with M.C. Wyman and both following Sal Velluto for the most-commission pieces I’ve inked over. The pencils were very light on the 11X17 smooth 1 or 2-ply board and my markers and brush bled a bit, and my Hunt 102 quill bled A LOT (so I switched to my Pitt brush marker for THOSE lines). This is my 8th Supergirl and 2nd Powergirl, but it’s the first combination of the 2 comparable gals. Completed on 2/26/2009.
