At a Boston convention I was handed an 11X17 sketchbook and asked to ink the daredevil image drawn on the page from another show. We didn’t know the pencil artist’s identity but thanks to friend Bob Shaw he was recognized as Jamal Igle. Since the style was well-suited for the approach I inked it entirely in markers. I first inked it without any background save for the birds but later added blacks to the bg upon the client’s consent to add much-needed contrast. This commission was completed on 12/6/2004.
