Here’s a threefer…prolific client Damon sent me 3 jobs at about the same time (his 41st, 42nd & 43rd) all by Koi Pham who I’d never inked before. I found him challenging because he has this style, much like Walter Simonson, where he doesn’t draw things conventionally and since he also draws a bit loosely it’s hard to figure out what he’s doing at first. But like with all new artists, it got easier over time for me. **The first row of images follow Damon’s “Brotherhood” theme, this time with a collection of their villains, ANIA, with more cross-company character selections: Omega Man Heru, Sentinal, Moe Muscle, Rapture & Chapel. Upon request Damnon asked me to lengthen Rapture’s hair. Inked with brush & markers with some dot zip. This 11X17 image was completed on 1/1/2006.

**The 2nd commission consisted of the D’ Rahn, an evil alien race of characters that appeared in Wildstorm’s short-lived WILDCORE title. Inked with brush & markers, this 11X17 job was finished on 1/8/2006. **The last images shows The Brotherhood as puppets on strings at the mercy of Princess Zanda who debuted in Jack Kirby’s BLACK PANTHER in the 1970s and whom some may recall was used in BLACK PANTHER v3 # 42-45 by Priest, Sal and myself. The cover is based after a T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents cover by George Perez (1984). Damon asked me to adjust Triathlon’s uniform and design as an homage to Kirby I added the Kirby Crackle in the background. Inked with brush, Pitt brush marker and other markers this 11X17 piece was completed on 1/24/2006.

All left files in the rows on images are pencils by Koi Pham. The right files are Bob’s inks over those pencils. The final file is the Perez T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents cover art used as reference for the Princess Zanda vs. The Brotherhood commission image.
