On the heels of his Iron Man commission by me and M.C. Wyman, the client next commissioned us to do the original Goliath, the Avengers’ Hank Pym, as my 6th job for him. As a fan I dig all of these Avengers-related commissions, especially when done in the style of “Big” John Buscema himself. My 7th crossing with Wyman, I inked this with brush, some markers, Instantex and scraping a razor blade. It was completed on 6/7/04. The client then commissioned my pal Tom Smith to color Goliath in two versions: the colors he wore from Avengers 28-50 and then the colors he wore from issues 51-58.
