This is my 16th commission with Black Panther in it not counting unused covers, recreated covers or sketchagraphs. It’s also #11 on the Michael Rankins chart and the 2nd commission work over Ron Lim (who I have inked twice previously on assignments). Michael wanted me to add a background behind T’Challa and eventually I came up with this jungle shot. I inked BP in brush & markers but I inked the location all in gray washes adding a little bit of white paint spatter and smudges. This 11X14 image was completed on 6/23/2006.
