After taking a few years away to attend the Pittsburgh Comicn, I was compelled to join the community and rally behind promoter Shelton Drumm after the much-publicized Wizardworld
decision to compete agianst them locally & on the same weekend (which they eventually backed out of doing). And am I glad that I did! It was the best show that I'd attended in years!
Shelton & crew did a superb job of coordinating this monster event and pulled it off with nary a hitch. I went with my pal Ernie and we had the best of time. ernie poses in front of the
Heroes booth (above center) and I pose with the legendary Dave Cockrum (above right).
I was seated near my pal Tom Raney, who was a fellow peer from back in the WARLOCK & THE INFINITY WATCH days even though I sadly never inked over him (above left). I also ran into
for the 2nd time one of my commission clients Larry Clay (above, 2nd pic). As fellow members of the Jarvis-heads (Avengers fans & pros on a private mailing list) I posed with Van
Plexico (owns the Avengers Assemble fan site) and David (DefDave)Wright (3rd pic above) and Ernie & I posed with John Quiring (4th).

For the first time since I began my association with Penny-Farthing Press in 1998 I was able to meet some of the staff since they set up a booth at this venue. In this pic (above left) I
posed with my DECOY art partner and PFP talent coordinator Courtney Huddleston and I also met Andre. The next photo shows some enthusiastic DC fans in costume. The 3rd photo is
a shot of me and my old Marvel assistant editor (WARLOCK) and art returns editor from the early-mid '90s, John Lewendowski. Lastly, I met the fine folks at the ACTOR booth and donated
some stuff for the cause. Here in the last photo you can see George Perez, Randy Green & Tom Raney scheduled for signing and sketching. See y'all at the 25th anniversary show in 2007!!

After having attended their debut show, promoter Chris Proulx (left pic, kneeling-photo by Derek Bailey) was kind enough to invite me to his 5th annual event. My son traveled with me to
Manchester, NH since he heard that the 501st NE Garrison would be on hand again at this venue. It was nice to say hi to Paul Ryan, Jimmy Cheung, Jon Bogdanove & my pal Scott
Ambruson. A nice & successful one day show!

Rubber Chicken Comics
I wasn't scheduled to do a signing with a retailer this year but my 10-year old son Nathan really looks forward to this annual event so we
visited out favorite store Rubber Chicken Comics. Nathan had just ordered a Clone Trooper costume due to good academic grades so he
eagerly posed along with the 501st Garrison of Star Wars characters. On the way home we dropped by Stillpoint Comics where my pal
Craig Rousseau was signing and lo, and behold the goog-guy counterparts of the 501st were there. A fun & mostly Bob pic-less day:-)
