The Art of Al Rio
Here's another artist that I'd never inked before and another thrill. The board was 'Al Rio' art board and, unfortunately, like some other boards I've worked on, wasn't 100% receptive to marker (let alone quill which I didn't need to use) so I was careful to not cause bleeding from the paper fibers. I approached the image with my normal palette of brush and marker and added some black finger prints into the bellowing black smoke and spattered a bit of white paint over the smoke & fire. This 11 X 17 image was completed on 10/28/03.
