This was the first time I'd inked Casey's work
and it was a blast. It looks like it would be
simple to ink but these kinds of more minimal-
istic renderings, while not as meticulous as
a Velluto or Medina image, can be a little
misleading; with the hundreds of lines &
details in a Velluto one can afford to not get
a few lines perfect because they're hidden in
the art...a more basic drawing means that
every line matters and errors will show so it's
more of a challenge of control. Plus you can't
take many liberties with this kind of job.
Spider-man was 11" X 17"  and inked in
brush but some small details and most of the
webbing was inked with marker. This 11 X 17
image was completed on 10/27/03.
