Brotherman was my third Booth effort and my 8th
commission for Damon who asked that I remove
the cigarette & smoke. Like the other Booth
commissions, I used brush and marker but no quill
since the 'Blue Line' brand board doesn't take that
tool well. I decided to add to the background as
contrast to pop out the character. I used rub-on
Instantex to fade off the black back drop and dry
brush with white paint to give the smoke a 'smokey'
texture. I also spattered & smudged some black
ink on the bricks on the wall. This 11 X 17 job was
completed on 12/20/03.
