CBG#1641 (ships this month) will print the Inkwell Awards material from their online feature on page 39 ("The Blurbs").
MARVEL HANDBOOK UPDATE: The 2nd issue of the MARVEL ATLAS the nation of Wakanda will be covered. MA writer and my personal
chronicler Mike Fichera checked with me and confirmed that they will use the design of my Wakandan banner from BLACK PANTHER#49
(rendered by Sal) under that nation entry. It will be tweaked by Elliot R. Brown into a more traditional flag from what I understand and special
credit us. Thanks for the props, guys!

THE INKWELL AWARDS ARE LIVE! Well the site is, actually, and voting starts April 1st. We now have advertisers to fund site expenses and
the trophies, the promotional push has commenced, legend Joe Sinnott has given us his blessing to name the hall of fame award after him,
and we have the committee support of two industry notables, DC editor Mike Marts and illustrator supreme Adam Hughes! Please visit the site
and I've included here links to Daniel Best's blog & CBGxtra's coverage of the event (I will be adding a links database to my links page soon
with all the online promo features).
I can't announce much at the moment but for my "Inkblots" SKETCH column I created an inker-centric awards event called 'The Inkwell
Awards'. This issue (#35) will ship in March. But since I wrote it I have been working with an awards committee of superstars in an effort to
make the most of this plan. We have a website, a logo designed, the blessing of an ink artist legend to name the hall of fame award after, & all
the voting categories chosen. We're now working on ad funding and the trophy award details. I should have more info in my next news update.

I'm proud to announce that I now have my own Wikipedia page posted online thanks to the sweat & tears of Mike Fichera, a fellow 'master of
the obscure' contributer, one of the Marvel handbook writers, and now my very own chronicler! Thanks much, Mike!

It's no much but if you happen to pick up CABLE & DEADPOOL#50 I inked page 21 over penciler Reilly Brown.
MARVEL HANDBOOK UPDATE: I just got word that the Black Tarantula image that was used in the MARVEL LEGACY HANDBOOK 1990's issue
and collected in the MARVEL LEGACY tpb will also be in the upcoming OHOTMU vol. 1 hardcover book.
CONVENTIONS UPDATE: Regrettably I had to cancel my plans to attend Boston. But I hope to go to a future show.
1/4/08 CONVENTIONS UPDATE: for the 1st quarter of the year I will be attending the Boston Comic Con on March 16 (tentative), the New York Comic
Con on April 18-20 and the Pittsburgh Comicon on April 25-27.
FYI, on my Art for Sale page I am now permanently pricing my two volumes of Bob Almond Inkworks sketchbooks down from $10 to $5 to
welcome in the new year! Click the page link on the side navigation ink blots.
I'm finally set up online at Comicspace so you can check out my page by clicking the icon. Still a work in progress!
During October's Boston Comic Con I was interviewed by Matt Herring of the Secret Identity Podcast site. That podcast interview is now
posted for issue 94.5 as of January 2nd so click the link to the left. Previously they gave a praising review of QUASAR # 1 for podcast #71 but
that's sadly no longer archived.

In another one of Mr. Rankins' "Comicart Friday" entries of his SWANSHADOW blog Michael posted his 'best of' commissions list and I'm hon-
ored to report that I was voted his 2007 Artist of the Year for the 2nd time in a row. It's truly a flattering way to end the year. Thanks, Michael!
12/3/07 Prolific commission client and gentleman, Michael Rankins, better known to some as "Uncle Swan", posted a 2-part entry at his blog "Swan-
shadow thinks out loud" titled 'Black Friday' (black, as in ink, get it;-)), focusing on my recent work for him on 11/23 and 11/30. On 11/22
Michael even listed me (under 'inkers' as one of the many things he was thankful for in 2007 ("Swanshadow gives thanks: collectors edition").
Thanks a whole bunch for the props & very kind words, Michael!

Craig and Joe Benitez will also be a guests. I'll also have a holiday art sale (below).
For those interested, I'm running a holiday sale on my original art ranging from 15%-20%. It ends in a month so check out my 'art for sale' page
ASAP for discounted QUASAR, VAMPIRELLA, and A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET art.
Over the Thanksgiving weekend and the week following I was hired to ink a few pages for Marvel Custom Comics. They are producing a comic
